CLAYTON, New York (January 27, 2015) – The Antique Boat Museum (ABM), North America’s premier freshwater nautical museum based in Clayton, New York, announced today that it will host a science-themed camp during the upcoming winter school break, February 16-20, 2015.

This two-hour craft, reading, and special activity time from 9:30-11:30 a.m. will explore the science of boating.  Each day, school-aged children will experiment and explore various topics, such as learning about local ecosystems and how to build simple machines that make our lives easier.  Participants will have the opportunity to try building a model barge and see how much freight it can carry down the river or how much sail is needed aboard a sailboat.

This camp is being held in partnership with the Thousand Island Land Trust (TILT).

Each session is $7 per child for members and $10 for non-members; with a family maximum charge of $21 per family, per day.  If interested in participating in all five days, ask about our discounted rate. Children under the age of 7 must have an adult stay with them.
